Zambia

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Zambia , staying with Theresa and her husband Andrew Taylor on their farm in Mazabuka. I took out 4 podgers, hessian squares, and taught 4 girls to make rag rugs. They did well in a week, and hope they will continue, not only to make for themselves but to sell and make money.

Barracks

I was delighted to be asked and to make these special wall hangings for HQ RMSE, Brompton Barracks, Chatham, Kent. I am thrilled to say I have now seen them hanging up for real. I am proud to have made these while my son is the Brigadier.

Praying Hands

Praying Hands is a patchwork I have made during this current period of isolation. I have kept my hands busy making Christmas boxes, face masks and keeping up my drawing. My hands have also been praying for us all.

Virus work

I am using this enforced time at home to make Lockdown patchwork. I am seeking out my scraps and putting them together to make small quilts. Look what I am using to back the quilts. Flour sacks, wish they still had the flour in them.
Recycling at its best.

Dove of Peace Unveiled

Dedication of Artwork
This morning friend of the school and talented fabric artist, Elizabeth Brown, unveiled a beautiful fabric mosaic entitled 'Dove of Peace she has created for us to treasure. Reverend David Kaboleh led a short service of dedication which all pupils and staff attended. Please drop in to take a look at this magnificent gift to our school.

House at Pooh Corner

Liz painted this surprise for her friend who was away on holiday, assisted by Frank who drove Liz there and kept her company. They were supplied with copious cups of tea by a delighted neighbour. Of course the friend could not believe her eyes when she came home and was truely overwelmed.
